Welcome

Welcome to Dalby Training Centre. We are a registered training organisation (RTO 46100) committed to delivering nationally recognised training that is practical, relevant, and of the highest quality. This handbook outlines your rights and responsibilities as a student, what to expect from your training, and how to access support.

Enrolment

To enrol in any of our courses, please contact us via phone at 0418 616 288 or email at info@dalbytrainingcentre.com.au. You will be required to complete an enrolment form and provide any mandatory prerequisites prior to the commencement of training.

Payment is required before training commences. We accept payment via our online Square portal, bank transfer, or cash. Corporate accounts with approved invoicing arrangements may be available for regular clients.

Your Rights as a Learner

  • To be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect at all times
  • To receive training, assessment, and support services that meet your individual needs
  • To be assessed in a fair, valid, reliable, and flexible manner
  • To access information about your course prior to enrolment
  • To appeal any assessment decision you consider unfair
  • To have your personal information kept private and secure
  • To raise concerns or complaints without fear of discrimination or disadvantage

Your Responsibilities

  • To treat trainers, staff, and fellow students with respect
  • To arrive on time and be prepared for each training session
  • To participate honestly and actively in training and assessment activities
  • To complete all required pre-reading, activities, or prerequisites prior to attending
  • To wear appropriate PPE and follow safety instructions during practical sessions
  • To notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a scheduled session
  • To not engage in plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic misconduct

Assessment

Assessment in all our courses is conducted in accordance with the relevant training package and the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015. Assessment methods may include written knowledge assessments, practical skills demonstrations, verbal questioning, and role-play scenarios — depending on the course requirements.

To achieve a satisfactory outcome, you must demonstrate competency in all required elements of each unit. If you do not achieve competency on your first attempt, we will work with you to understand the reason and provide a reasonable opportunity for reassessment.

Reasonable Adjustment

We are committed to providing equitable training and assessment. If you have a disability, learning difficulty, or any other circumstance that may affect your participation or assessment, please advise us prior to enrolment so that we can discuss reasonable adjustments to support your success.

Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN)

If you have concerns about your reading, writing, or numeracy skills, please let us know before your course begins. We can provide LLN support or refer you to appropriate support services where required.

Complaints and Appeals

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your training or assessment, we encourage you to raise the matter with your trainer or our administration team in the first instance. If the matter is not resolved, you may lodge a formal complaint or appeal by contacting us in writing at info@dalbytrainingcentre.com.au.

All complaints and appeals will be handled promptly, fairly, and confidentially. We aim to resolve all matters within 10 business days. You also have the right to refer a complaint to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) if you are not satisfied with the outcome.

Refunds and Withdrawals

If you need to withdraw from a course, please notify us as soon as possible. Our refund policy is as follows:
